How long does battery backup last?
It depends on your battery capacity and what you are running. A typical 20 kWh home battery powers essentials such as lights, fans, refrigeration, internet and outlets for 12 to 24 hours on storage alone.
Because your solar panels recharge the battery every day, a properly sized system can run indefinitely through a multi-day outage without any fuel.
Does solar work during a hurricane?
Our mounting systems are engineered for Caribbean wind loads and panels carry impact ratings for wind-driven debris. During the storm itself the system safely shuts down, and the battery continues to carry your home.

What appliances can I run on battery backup?
A standard backup system carries lights, ceiling fans, refrigerator and freezer, internet router, televisions, phone charging and outlets. Larger systems run central air conditioning, well pumps and full kitchens.
